Porn acting is inherently no different to normal, mainstream acting in that, though the dialogue is far more restricted and often minimal, the behavioural acting is vital. In order to be convincing the porn actress must enter fully in to the role and live the part, which is something that Juliet Anderson did to perfection. The porn acting cannot be simply formulaic to be erotic and arousing for the viewer. It is not enough that the porn actress likes or is addicted to the sex (heterosexual and lesbian), which Juliet was, but she must be able to express in a natural manner the lust, lechery and lasciviousness. Juliet Anderson was a great porn actress, though I doubt if she could ever have been a convincing straight actress, though she might have had a decent go at the early scenes depicting a carnal Lady Macbeth.
